Capillo ("we", "us", or "our") is a product of Kitdee LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Capillo mobile app, how we use it, and who we share it with. By using Capillo, you agree to this policy.
Hair profile data. During onboarding you answer questions about your hair type, hair goals (e.g. growth, moisture, anti-breakage), scalp condition, chemical treatments, wash frequency, and similar characteristics. This information is stored on your device and in our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) to personalise your experience.
Product label images. When you scan a product, your camera captures an image of the ingredient label. That image is sent to Google's Gemini AI API for ingredient extraction and analysis. Images are processed in real time and are not stored by us after analysis is complete.
Usage data. We collect anonymised analytics about how you use the app — which screens you visit, when you complete onboarding, when you scan a product, when the paywall is shown. This data is collected via Firebase Analytics and does not contain your hair profile or images.
Device information. Standard technical data such as device type, operating system version, and an anonymous installation identifier, collected automatically by Firebase.
Subscription information. If you subscribe to Capillo PRO, your purchase is processed by Apple. We receive your subscription status (active / expired) via RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
Your hair profile and scanned product data are stored in Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud, us-central1 region). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase security rules that restrict access to your own data only.
No system is completely secure. If you become aware of any security issue, please contact us at [email protected].
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Within the app, use Settings → Remove all data to delete your profile, scanned products, and routines immediately. For any other request, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Please note: Capillo does not currently support transferring your data to another device or exporting it in a portable format.
Capillo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Capillo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
